Many words can be spent on describing the amazement I experienced during the trip to South Africa I just returned from. But after lodges (the remote silence), game drives (4 out of big 5, 1 out of small 5), tours through central Johannesburg (the burdened atmosphere) and Soweto (the progress), only three words are needed to describe the moment I stroked tiger & lion cubs and a cheetah: they purr too.
Obviously I did not pet these endearing as well as endangered animals in the wild - they were in a protected environment for their preservation.
But being able to first revisit what's set aside for their natural environment, and witness how well thought out these nature reserves are being managed, only one conclusion remains: deep respect. There are many smart people making very wise decisions, all of them based on common sustainable interests.

Gozerrrrrr,
Weer terug zie ik? Wanneer hoor ik de verhalen? Tot snel!
